Friday, a couple of hours after the Los Angeles Dodgers acquired Max Scherzer and Trea Turner, in ten innings, the Dodgers lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks 6-to-5.

This game marked the return of Corey Seager from missing 2½ months with a broken hand. He had two hits and made several important defensive plays. His return makes the Dodgers better.

Tony Gonsolin did not have it, so this game turned into a bullpen game. Since the Dodgers traded Josiah Gray, who was supposed to pitch Saturday, they are in trouble. Joe Kelly and Blake Treinen were the only Dodger relievers who did not walk anyone. Saturday will be an adventure for the Dodgers since their bullpen was overused Friday.

While the Dodgers wasted many scoring opportunities, any time a team scores five runs, it should win. Chris Taylor had a home run and a triple. For the first time as a Dodger, Billy Kinney had two hits.
