A Good Win for the Dodgers

On a hot Thursday evening in St. Louis, the Los Angeles Dodgers shut out the Cardinals 4 to 0.

Before the game, the Dodgers put Brusdar Graterol with right shoulder inflammation on the IL. The team doesn’t Graterol’s injury is serious, but on Friday, Graterol will have imaging. The Dodgers recalled Reyes Moronta to fill Graterol’s roster spot.

Again, Tyler Anderson dominated the Cardinals for six innings. He used a different pitch pattern from normal with more reliance on his fastball and less reliance on his super changeup. Throwing 88 pitches, Anderson struck out four while walking two. Mookie Betts’ right field assist helped Anderson to get out of the sixth inning without having trouble. Entering the All-Star break, Anderson has ten wins and one loss.

Yency Almonte, Evan Phillips, and Craig Kimbrel pitched splendidly in relief.

Freddie Freeman is amazing. Over his last four games, he has had thirteen hits and raised his batting average by twenty-one points.

The Dodgers scored in the fourth on Justin Turner’s single, while Will Smith’s double scored Trea Turner in the sixth. In the seventh, Gavin Lux blasted a two-run shot.
