A Loss Should Not Have Happened

On a perfect Friday night for baseball at Dodger Stadium, the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-to-2.

Before the game, Jimmy Nelson was put on the IL with left lumbar strain, and the Dodgers recalled Alex Vesia, who pitched well on Friday. Also, Clayton Kershaw has no structural damage in his elbow, and this is the first time in his fourteen-year Major-League career that he has felt any discomfort in his elbow. The Dodgers hope Kershaw can return soon after the All-Star break.

This loss against the Diamondbacks that are on a pace to lose over one hundred games should not have happened. The Dodgers played sloppily, and their inexperienced pitchers walked too many. AJ Pollock had a solo home run and a double.
