Clayton Kershaw became the first starter since 1961 to have seven perfect innings twice in a season. Although Kershaw allowed a hit in the eighth, he purely dominated the Los Angeles Angels. The Dodgers controlled the Angels 9 to 1.

I have watched Kershaw since he was a rookie, and I have not seen him any better over the fifteen seasons. Every of his pitch was working, and his control was perfect. His rainbow curveball was tremendous. The defense supported Kershaw, particularly Justin Turner, Trea Turner, and Hanser Alberto playing second base. Through his eight innings, Kershaw struck out 8, allowed 1 hit, and walked none.

Reyes Moronta let the Angeles to break up the shutout when Brandon Marsh homered.

The Dodger offense just made the Angel pitching silly. Freddie Freeman continued his hot hitting in the first when he singled in Mookie Betts. Justin Turner had 4 RBI, and Alberto tripled in two runs.
