On a beautiful spring night in Anaheim, the Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the Angels 5-to-1.

Walker Buehler, who is the Opening Day starter against the Colorado Rockies, could not locate his pitches well, and a strong Angel lineup hit him hard. Both Shohei Ohtani and Jared Walsh homered. While Buehler was not his usual dominating self, David Price, Daniel Hudson, and Brusdar Graterol baffled the Angels. The Dodgers should have one of the best bullpens in baseball history.

Freddie Freeman could not play Sunday since he had an illness. While the media and Dodger fans have focused on the inability of Cody Bellinger to collect hits, not many Dodgers have had a good offensive performance this spring. Sunday night, Chris Taylor, who had two hits, doubled and scored on Gavin Lux’s single. The Dodgers need to find their potent offense by Friday.

Before the game, the Dodgers sent Jake Lamb, who has performed wonderfully during spring training, to their Minor League camp. Lamb is not on their 40-man roster, and the Dodgers did not want to remove a player. Undoubtedly, if Lamb remains with the Dodger organization, he will contribute to their Major-League team sometime during the 2022 campaign.
