On a cool Friday night in San Diego, the Los Angeles Dodgers pounded the San Diego Padres 6-to-1.

Before Friday night, Mookie Betts had been slumping, but on Friday, he blasted two solo home runs. Max Muncy, another slumping Dodger, blasted a home run and singled in two runs. Justin Turner sacrificed into a double play, but Trea Turner scored a run.

Although Julio Urías earned his first win in the 2022 season, he had difficulty commanding his fastball. The Padres’ lineup is much weaker without Fernando Tatis, Jr., who broke his wrist in a motorcycle accident. Urías used his off-speed pitches to retire the Padres, but he needs to be more efficient.

Again, the Dodger bullpen of Daniel Hudson, Evan Phillips, Phil Bickford, Alex Vesia, and David Price did a fantastic job.

For the first time in history, a female helped to call a Dodger game. Jessica Mendoza partnered with Joe Davis to announce an educational and entertaining game.
