Monday, Walker Buehler pitched his first Major-League complete shutout as the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-to-0.

After the first three hitters of the game, the Dodgers lead thanks to two doubles by Freddie Freeman and Trea Turner. In the eighth inning, Will Smith launched his second home run of the regular season.

Before this start, many Dodger fans worried about Buehler’s fastball. Unlike in his first three starts, he had conviction in using his fastball. He used 28 curveballs, the most in his Major-League career. He allowed two hits, but one of them was questionable since Justin Turner should have caught the hard ground ball. Buehler threw 108 pitches, the most by a starter in the Major Leagues, and he struck out ten.
