Tuesday, the Los Angeles Dodgers did not pick up options on Hanser Alberto, Danny Duffy, and Jimmy Nelson. Rumors say the Dodgers want Justin Turner to return for the 2023 season.

If Daniel Hudson had been able to pitch during the NLDS against the San Diego Padres, the Dodgers might have gone further in the 2022 postseason. Hudson’s ACL injury in late June hurt the Dodgers know. When Craig Kimbrel struggled in the closer role, the Dodgers went into the playoffs without a defined closer.

Before Hudson’s injury, he was brilliant. In 25 appearances, Hudson had a 2.22 ERA and five saves.

The Dodgers gave Hudson a contract for the 2023 season. If healthy, Hudson will strengthen the Dodger bullpen and give guidance to Walker Buehler who just underwent his second Tommy John surgery.
