On a cool Saturday night in San Diego, in ten innings, the Los Angeles Dodgers suffered their fourth loss of the regular season when they lost to the San Diego Padres 3-to-2.

The Dodgers could not hit Yu Darvish, an ex-Dodger in 2017. The variety of his pitches baffled the Dodgers. Before the eighth, Will Smith owned the lone single. In the eighth inning, Trea Turner had a two-run double. The night after blasting two home runs, Mookie Betts struck out four times, and Cody Bellinger struck out twice. With these two players struggling, the Dodgers will have an offensive problem.

With Andrew Heaney on the IL, Tyler Anderson came out of the Dodger bullpen to pitch five satisfactory innings allowing two runs. After Anderson left the game, Phil Bickford, Alex Vesia, Brusdar Graterol, Mitch White, and Daniel Hudson performed well. Although Justin Bruihl, who has performed well this season, was charged with the loss, he would not have lost the game if baseball did not have the placed runner.
