After an hour rain delay, the Los Angeles Dodgers inched the Pittsburgh Pirates 2-to-1 thanks to Justin Turner’s two solo home runs.

Before the game began, the Dodgers activated Tony Gonsolin and put Yoshi Tsutsugo with a calf injury on the injury.

The much-anticipated first start in the 2021 season by Tony Gonsolin did not go well or how the Dodgers had planned. While Gonsolin’s pitches had tremendous movement, he could not locate the strike zone. Dave Roberts did not want another bullpen game, but he could not let Gonsolin, who was constantly in trouble, go longer than 1.2 innings.

As in five previous bullpen games, the relievers performed outstandingly. Both the Dodgers and the Pirates lacked the timely hit. The Dodgers left nine men on base while the Pirates left ten runners.
