On a hot evening in Anaheim, the Los Angeles Dodgers overpowered the Angels 7-to-1. For the fifth time in franchise history, the Dodgers won sixty games before the All-Star break.

Before the game, the National League named Tyler Anderson to the All-Star team. Anderson has had a superb first half with ten wins and one loss with a 2.96 ERA. He has shown a changeup could baffle the opposing hitters in the age of incredible velocity.

The Dodgers used four home runs by Trea Turner, who had two, Max Muncy, and Freddie Freeman. Freeman had the 1000th RBI of his Major-League career.

Bouncing back from a bad start against the Chicago Cubs last Sunday, Julio UrĂas went seven innings and allowed only a home run to Brandon Marsh. All his pitches were working, except the hanging curveball that Marsh took out.

Both Caleb Ferguson and Phil Bickford were wonderful in relief
