On a warm Saturday evening at Dodger Stadium, the Los Angeles Dodgers lost their fourth consecutive game as they fell to the Philadelphia Phillies 8-to-3.

Although both Reyes Moronta and Garrett Cleavinger pitched well in relief, the Dodger pitching slump continued. To save the bullpen, manager Dave Roberts allowed Julio Urías, who gave up four home runs, to pitch six innings. Urías tried using his slurve to silence the powerful Phillies’ offense, and it did not work. Urías showed his grit and his willingness to help his team survive the 162-game marathon in front of his glory.

After scoring fourteen runs in two previous games, the Dodger offense appeared exhausted. Mookie Betts blasted his team-leading sixth home run, and Cody Bellinger doubled in two runs.
