On a miserably hot Tuesday afternoon at Dodger Stadium, the Los Angeles Dodgers inched out the Seattle Mariners 2-to-1.

Tony Gonsolin has not allowed an earned run in the 2020 season. Today’s game Gonsolin pitched wonderfully for six innings. He baffled the Marines when he changed speeds. He attacked the strike zone consistently. This start should solidify Gonsolin’s position in the Dodger starting rotation. So far, he has not allowed an earn in 14.2 innings.

Although the Dodger bullpen allowed one run, Jake McGee, Scott Alexander, and Blake Treinen pitched well. Since Kenley Jansen has pitched three out of four games, he was unavailable. Treinen had no problem preserving the victory.

The Dodgers did not score much because the Mariner starter Marco Gonzales had a magnificent curveball that baffled the Dodgers. Austin Barnes twice singled and scored on both Justin Turner and Corey Seager.
