Monday Brian Snitker named Clayton Kershaw as the National League All-Star starter. Kershaw is at his ninth All-Star Game, but he never started the All-Star Game even though he was deserving in 2013 and 2014.

Coming off his first forearm injury, Kershaw has been brilliant. Twice he has pitched seven perfect innings. Only once, he has had a clunker in Colorado, and during the history of playing Major League Baseball in Denver, most pitchers have had clunkers there. Kershaw is excited about starting the Mid-Summer Classic in front of his older children, Cali and Charley.
