On a beautiful Memorial Day at Dodger Stadium, Craig Kimbrel blew his first save as a Dodger. Although the Dodgers battled back from a 4-to-0 deficit, they still lost to the Pittsburgh Pirates 6-to-5.

Walker Buehler struggled through six innings since he could not throw his fastball past the young Pirates. He allowed two home runs. He was frustrated even though his off-speed pitches were great. If Kimbrell did not allow two runs, Yency Almonte, who pitched two marvelous innings, would have received a win.

Hanser Alberto, Mookie Betts, and Edwin Ríos blasted solo home runs. In the eighth, after Trea Turner doubled, he scored on Justin Turner’s double, and Turner scored on Chris Taylor’s single.
