In a game that the Los Angeles Dodgers looked like they were going to lose, the Dodgers used ten innings to defeat the Arizona Diamondbacks 10-to9.

It was an ugly game for the Dodgers. Gavin Lux’s three-run homer enabled his team to win despite leaving 15 runners on base, a starter who did not get out of the third inning, and Kenley Jansen’s struggles.

Walker Buehler seemed to be primed for a special game until he ran into trouble in the third inning. His velocity was fantastic and fooled the Diamondbacks, who is a lousy team. He did not allow a hit to the first Diamondback hitters, but he did not use any of his sliders. He seldom used a curveball.

Then, Buehler fell apart in the third inning. When manager Dave Roberts lifted Buehler after five runs were scored, Buehler’s finger where he had a blister was raw. He probably will be on the Injured List today.

The Dodger bullpen pitched brilliantly until Kenley Jansen struggled in the tenth.

Most Dodger fans hoped Lux would become the everyday second baseman. Late arrival to summer camp caused Lux with his complicated swing to begin the season at the alternative site. Lux has not had a good 2020 season until tonight. Although he had a throwing error, he had two home runs and drove in 5 RBI.
