It has been a month without baseball. Some baseball fans do not know what to do with themselves, but I have been busy researching old baseball stories.
I have learned much about Dodger history, and Wednesday, I am writing an article about Jackie Roosevelt Robinson. Everyone will miss Jackie Roosevelt Robinson Day. I highly recommend everyone watch the film entitled 42 on Wednesday.
During this time of quarantine, I am writing a historical novel about World War I and the 1918 influenza pandemic. Next to Dodger baseball, I love twentieth-century history.
Like everyone else, I miss baseball, but I understand we cannot play without endangering people’s lives. I have tried to find something else to do other than focusing on how they miss baseball.
An acquaintance of mine asked her fans, “Who was the least favorite Dodger of all time?”
To me, this question is inappropriate. I know she wants to spark discussion, but I think it is not how to create positive vibes. She doesn’t understand we need positivity during this time. I am trying to forget the Astros.
I am anxious to have baseball back, but I want everyone to be safe.
