The Los Angeles Dodgers exploded against the Chicago White Sox. They received great pitching from Julio Urìas and David Price. With Corey Seager’s three-run homer, the Dodgers defeated the White Sox 8-to-2.

The free-swinging White Sox helped Urìas to dominate them for three innings. Unlike in his first start of the spring, he had great control. He had minimum pitches, so he finished his predetermined pitch count in the bullpen. He is the forerunner to earn the fifth spot in the Dodger starting rotation.

After opting out of the abbreviated 2020 season, David Price has been a huge interest among Dodger fans. Some of these so-called fans are angry with Price for missing the 2020 season, but they do not understand he has two young children. He did not want to expose his children to the mysterious virus.

Last spring, coming off wrist surgery that occurred in September 2019, Price appeared in two games and was scheduled to pitch on the day when baseball shut down. Many Dodger fans were worried Price would not perform competitively in a Dodger uniform.

Monday, Price demonstrated he had a real feel for his changeup, a rarity when a pitcher has not pitched in a while. Price had an easy fourth inning.

After the game, the former American League Cy Young award winner volunteered to go into the bullpen. He wants to do anything to help his team win another world championship. During the shutdown, he gave every Dodger minor leaguer $1000 to help with their expenses.

The last few days Dodger offense has not performed well, but on Monday, the offense exploded. Matt Beaty had a two-run single. Seager has looked ready for the season, but he had not yet homered until Monday.
