In a game the Los Angeles Dodgers once trailed 6-to-1, the Dodgers used Will Smith’s 3-run walk-off homer to beat the San Francisco Giants 8-to-6.

Mookie Betts again could not play because of his irritated hip. During the game, of after being hit by Alex Wood’s pitches, both Max Muncy and Justin Turner left with contusions, and the Dodgers hope they can return to the lineup tomorrow.

The Dodgers could not defend against the home runs, and both Darien Nunez and Josiah “JoJo” Gray allowed four homers. Making his Major-League debut, Gray pitched four innings and struck out seven while walking one.

Garrett Cleavinger, Joe Kelly, and Jimmie Sherfy pitched well in relief.

When Betts cannot play and both Muncy and Turner left the game, the Dodgers were not expected to score much. Cody Bellinger is mired in a horrendous slump. However, Chris Taylor blasted two home runs. In the ninth inning, the Giant reliever Tyler Roger walked Taylor and Matt Beaty and then, allowed Smith’s three-run homer.
