On a perfect Thursday night for baseball at Dodger Stadium, for the first time in their history, the Chicago Cubs had a combined no-hitter. Their 4-to-0 victory was a great baseball performance for the Cubs, and the Cubs became the first team to have two-hitters at Dodger Stadium.
The Dodger offensive woes continued as they lost their fourth consecutive game. Obviously with a no-hitter thrown against them, the Dodgers did not link hits together.
For the first time since September 2019, Walker Buehler lost a decision. Though he did not pitch badly, he allowed two home runs. He struggled with his command of his four-seam fastball. David Price did not pitch well during the seventh, but Phil Bickford pitched well for the rest of the game.
