With a 5-to-4 victory, the Miami Marlins snapped the Los Angeles Dodger nine-game winning streak.

Next Tuesday Mookie Betts, Max Muncy, and Chris Taylor will represent the Dodgers in Colorado. All these players deserve this incredible honor, but Justin Turner, Clayton Kershaw, Walker Buehler should have been named to the National League All-Star team, also. The Dodgers have the second best pitching in baseball, and they don’t have an All-Star pitching representative. It does not make sense, but every year Major League Baseball snubs the Dodgers. Although it is understandable this year since during the abbreviated 2020 season when the Dodgers did not play out of their division, the Dodgers need to be represented better at every All-Star Game.

A day after an incredibly early start, manager Dave Roberts elected to rest Betts, Muncy, and Cody Bellinger at the beginning of the game, and this affected both the defense and offense. The moving strike zone, caused by the home plate umpire having a bad night. The bad defense did not help the situation.

Although the Dodgers tried to comeback, Victor González allowed an eighth-inning go-ahead solo home run.
