On a picturesque Sunday afternoon at Dodger Stadium, the Los Angeles Dodgers completed a 4-game sweep of the San Francisco Giants for the first time since 1995. The Dodgers used many base hits to defeat the Giants 7-to-4.

The future Hall of Famer Clayton Kershaw did not have his best start of the 2022 season. He did not make out of the fifth since he was not efficient. His fastball command was not good making him unable to put the Giant hitters away even though he had a good slider.

Everyone in the Dodger lineup contributed though Cody Bellinger did not have a hit. The Dodgers are 11 and 0 when Jake Lamb, who had 2 hits, starts. Trayce Thompson had 2 hits and 2 RBI. Although the Dodgers did not have a home run, their offense dominated the Giants’ pitching staff.

After Thursday when the Dodger bullpen toiled, it looked great when the Dodger bullpen baffled the Giants. Yency Almonte, Phil Bickford, Evan Phillips, Alex Vesia, and Craig Kimbrel were magnificent in relief.

In July, the Dodgers have 17 wins and 2 losses.
