The Los Angeles Dodgers won their ninth out of ten National League Western Division titles as they shutout the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-to-0.

This season, the Dodgers dominated the opponents. They have overpowered in every aspect of the game. After last year when the Dodgers lost the division by one game to the San Francisco Giants, this division title is sweeter.

Despite having many injuries to the pitching staff, the Dodgers have the lowest ERA. Before Tony Gonsolin went on the IL with a forearm strain, he gave his team a reliable starter. Tyler Anderson is the biggest surprise of the 2022 season. Although most Dodger fans ignored the signing, Anderson was a reliable starter. Julio Urías should win the Cy Young Award.

The Dodger bullpen has been wonderful. Since Craig Kimbrel changed his walk-in song to Let It Go from Frozen, he has been perfect. Evan Phillips has performed brilliantly as the setup man as he filled in for injured Blake Treinen, who hopes to return in late September. Coming back from his second Tommy John surgery, Caleb Ferguson has performed spectacularly. Brusdar Graterol, Alex Vesia, and Yency Almonte have come into their own.

The defense practically made every play. Tuesday, Trea Turner and Mookie Betts made fabulous defensive plays. Although Cody Bellinger has mightily struggled offensively, he has not let his offensive woes affect his defense, and Bellinger is the best center fielder in Major League Baseball.

Freddie Freeman s the Dodger MVP. Everyone during spring training could not believe Freeman was available to sign with the Dodgers. Everyone knew Freeman was outstanding offensively, but nobody knew how well he ran bases. His defense at first base has saved countless errors. Whenever the Dodgers need a base hit, Freeman has delivered. His success at the plate has set an example for the rest of the team.

Betts has been happy. He leads the Dodgers in home runs with 34, and he is a dynamic. Unlike last season, Betts is healthy and enjoys the game.

Having Trea Turner for the whole season is great. It seems like he has a hitting streak. His range is amazing.

After a slow start of the season causing many people to talk about Justin Turner’s advanced age, JT has brought a steady fast presence in the middle of the Dodger lineup. Since June, he has hit over. 300.

Tuesday was the first step of achieving the Dodger goal of winning a world championship. This Dodger team has the best chemistry since 1988, and everyone knows what the 1988 Dodgers did.
