On a warm Tuesday evening in Washington, D. C., the Los Angeles Dodgers pommeled the Washington Nationals 9-to-4.

For the first time since the Dodgers traded Josiah Gray to the Nationals last July, the Dodgers pommeled the rookie. Gray did not have good command within the strike zone. Mookie Betts, who currently needs a higher level to play at than the Major Leagues, blasted two home runs. Both Trea Turner and Chris Taylor homered.

Walker Buehler still battled with the diminished velocity, but he earned his sixth victory in the 2022 season. He settled down to pitch six innings after a rough first inning where Buehler allowed three runs. While he walked two, he struck out three. Unlike earlier in his Major-League career, Buehler uses his off-speed pitches to retire the Nationals.

Although David Price allowed a run, he pitched well in the seventh. Brusdar Graterol hurled two scoreless innings even though he walked two.
