The Los Angeles Dodgers fell to the Saint Louis Cardinals 5-to-4. Due to the San Francisco Giants’ victory over the Colorado Rockies, the Dodgers are two games out of first place in the National League Western Division with twenty-four games to play.

Although Mitch White allowed four runs in five innings, he gave the Dodgers what they needed. The Dodger relievers, except Shane Greene, dominated the Cardinals.

While Max Muncy, Mookie Betts, and Corey Seager had counting two hits apiece, they could not produce enough to win. They need better offense to win their ninth National League Western Division title.
