On a picturesque Sunday late afternoon at Dodger Stadium, the Los Angeles Dodgers completed a 3-game sweep of the San Diego Padres when Tyler Anderson, Evan Phillips, and Craig Kimbrel shut out the Padres 4-to-0.

Again, Anderson dominated the Padres for seven innings. He had great control, throwing 59 strikes out of his 84 pitches. Even with their new upgrade lineup, the Padres did not have the patience not to swing at borderline pitches. During the series, the Padres looked like they were anxious to prove they can compete with the Dodgers, but their anxiousness prevented the Padres from winning a game against the Dodgers.

Cody Bellinger blasted two solo home runs. While Bellinger has had another poor offensive season, he is showing signs of contributing to the offense more than earlier this season. Freddie Freeman singled in two runs.

Both Phillips and Kimbrel dominated the Padres.
