On a beautiful Wednesday evening at Dodger Stadium, including a goose on the field, the Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the San Diego Padres 5-to-3.

Clayton Kershaw without his good stuff managed to go through five innings and allowed three runs. He did not have his control of his slider, but his last two innings were fantastic.

The defense from Trea Turner hurt the Dodgers, but Brusdar Graterol made a marvelous defensive play on a suicide squeeze. While Yency Almonte and Tommy Kahnle were brilliant, Blake Treinen allowed a solo home run and was not sharp.

The Dodgers could not hit with runners in scoring position. Both Freddie Freeman and Max Muncy homered, but the Dodgers never had a scoring rally.
