On Saturday in Phoenix, rebounding from a difficult loss, the Los Angeles Dodgers dominated the Arizona Diamondbacks 8-to-3.

Mitch White gave the Dodgers a good 2 2/3-innings opening in his first Major-League start. After Friday’s pitching debacle, the Dodgers received great pitching, allowing only two walks. Although White gave up a two-run homer and Garrett Cleavinger allowed a run, the rest of the Dodger five relievers held the Diamondbacks scoreless.

Unlike Friday’s loss, the Dodgers could score at will on Saturday even though Justin Turner’s two-run shot was the only Dodger home run. The Dodgers could manufacture runs. While Albert Pujols did not start the game, he had two RBI. Even Cody Bellinger had two infield singles.
