On a picturesque Friday evening at Dodger Stadium, the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Detroit Tigers 5-to-1.

Although Tyler Anderson, filling in for Andrew Heaney whose shoulder is taking longer to heal than expected, had problems with his changeup, he hurled five innings and allowed only one run. Obtaining Anderson during spring training helped to increase the Dodger pitching staff. He has performed well in his two starts and a relief appearance.

The Dodger bullpen continued its dominance. Evan Phillips, Phil Bickford, Brusdar Graterol, and Reyes Moronta performed brilliantly.

Justin Turner and Chris Taylor homered. Trea Turner had a sacrifice fly. The Dodgers took advantage of a Detroit error to score their fifth run after Mookie Betts singled.
