On a cool but beautiful Saturday night at Dodger Stadium, the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Miami Marlins 7-to-0.

In the Dodger uniform, Trevor Bauer has been dominated, but he has not received adequate run support. Saturday, he pitched magnificently for seven innings and struck out ten. His control was fantastic. He used all his pitches. He leads the National League in strikeouts, proving that he deserved the 2020 National League Cy Young Award.

The Dodgers had an outstanding offensive performance Saturday, but when a pitch hit Corey Seager’s hand. The Dodgers likely will place Seager on the IL as they run tests. Seager’s hand is already swollen, and he is in pain. Losing Seager will hurt both the Dodger offense and defense. ESPN reports Seager has a broken hand.

Saturday, besides signing Albert Pujols, the Dodgers traded a player to be named to the Tampa Bay Rays for a utility infielder Yoshitomo Tsusugo. The 29-year-old has struggled since he came here from Japan, but the Dodgers need a utility infielder.

The Dodgers had many different offensive heroes. Chris Taylor had two RBI, Mookie Betts, Max Muncy, and Gavin Lux had an RBI. DJ Peters had a single that drove in the first two runs of his Major-League career.
