On a yucky Sunday evening at Oracle Park, in ten innings, the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the San Francisco Giants 4-to-3.

Andrew Heaney pitched brilliantly for four innings, but the weather elements limited Heaney. Since the Giants struck out so much, they ran up Heaney’s pitch count. It did not help the Giants even though they scored against the Dodger bullpen. The relievers struggled partly because of the wet mound that prevented the pitchers from having secure footing.

Freddie Freeman, who walked, scored on Justin Turner’s double inning in the fourth inning. In the sixth, Freeman singled in Trea Turner. In the tenth, Mookie Betts doubled in Cody Bellinger, and the Dodgers took advantage of the Giants’ wildness.
