On a chilly Sunday afternoon in Mesa, Arizona, the Los Angeles Dodger registered their first win of the 2021 season. The World Champion Dodgers defeated the Oakland Athletics 2-to-1.

Since Major-League teams do not have their Minor-League camps open, spring training games for the first two weeks can be five, six, or seven innings. Sunday, the Dodgers and the Athletics played a seventh-inning game.

The Dodgers’ no-name pitchers did a fantastic job keeping the Athletic hitters quiet.

Corey Seager picked up exactly where he left off in October when he earned both the NLCS and the World Series MVPs. He had an RBI-single.

Non-roster invitee Matt Davidson homered.
