Surviving a two-hour rain delay, the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Philadelphia Phillies 5-to-0.

Before the game, the Dodgers must scratch Mookie Betts from the lineup with his troublesome hip, and according to manager Dave Roberts, the likelihood of Betts going on the IL is great.

Moreover, before the game, the Dodgers put Joe Kelly on the IL with an undisclosed injury and took Corey Knebel off the IL.

Justin Turner who has a right groin injury, will return on Friday at the earliest.

Max Scherzer made a fantastic three-inning start, and then, the rain came. The bullpen picked up where Scherzer left off while protesting about being taken out of the game. The hot Phillies struck out fifteen times against the Dodger bullpen.

Corey Seager had a homer, double, and single. AJ Pollock had an important double, and Cody Bellinger extended his hitting streak to seven games with a double. Again, Trea Turner used his incredible speed to score a run on a simple single by Max Muncy.
