On a warm Friday evening at Chase Field with its roof open, the Los Angeles Dodgers used three home runs in their 6-to-4 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Before the game, the Dodgers optioned Phil Bickford to Triple-A and promoted Ryan Pepoit. Although Pepoit did not make it through five innings, he had his best start in the Major Leagues. He had better command of his pitches. In his 4.1 innings, he allowed a run while striking out five and walking three.

Brusdar Graterol, Alex Vesia, Daniel Hudson, and Craig Kimbrel struggled but could limit the Diamondbacks.

While the Dodger offense did not produce as much as it did on Thursday, it gave the pitchers enough room to make mistakes. In the second inning against Madison Bumgarner, Edwin RĂos blasted a three-run homer, and Mookie Betts hit his National League-leading thirteenth home run. Trea Turner added his sixth home run of the year and had an RBI single.
