With Heath Hembree getting a win and Jake Reed getting a save, the Los Angeles Dodgers inched out the New York Mets 4-to-3.
The Dodgers earned their ninetieth victory thanks to Gavin Lux. After a 3:30 AM landing in New York from Miami, the Dodgers looked tired, leaving bases-loaded three times. Lux was flawless with runners in scoring position.
Andrew Heaney did not his best stuff working, but he managed to go five innings and allowed three runs, including two solo home runs. His pitches did not have the sharpness.
Since last Wednesday, the Dodger bullpen had not given up a run. Tuesday, the Dodger bullpen had many relievers unavailable. Hembree, Alex, Vesia, Evan Phillips, and Reed were brilliant in relief against the second-best National League team.
