The Los Angeles Dodgers have won seven straight as they used an 11-to-5 victory to complete the sweep of the San Francisco Giants.

The Dodgers scratched Mookie Betts from the lineup since he had shoulder soreness. For the last week, he has been receiving treatment on the bothersome shoulder, and the Dodgers hope he will be ready to play Tuesday when they face the Houston Astros. During the 2021 season, Betts has been hit on the wrist, has dealt with a stiff lower back, and now a sore shoulder, and his offensive performance has not been typical Mookie Betts like. Perhaps, his minor injuries have his offensive production.

Sunday, the Dodgers put Jimmy Nelson with general arm soreness on the IL and recalled Phil Bickford, who debuted for the Milwaukee Brewers in 2020. Nelson did not bounce back from his Thursday two-inning outing the way the Dodgers wanted. Manager Dave Roberts thinks Nelson’s stint on the IL will be brief.

Julio Urìas was perfect for six innings until he allowed a two-run homer by Austin Slater. He used all his pitches superbly while striking out ten and walking none.

Urìas drove in three runs in the Dodger offensive outburst. Gavin Lux’s second grand slam of the month, and Max Muncy blasted his tenth home run in the 2021 season.
