On Sunday in the desert, the Los Angeles Dodgers reached one hundred victories as they beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-to-1. With six games to play, the likelihood of the Dodgers winning the National League Western Division for the ninth consecutive time is slim.
Both Trea Turner and Corey Seager hit their one hundredth home run. For the first time this season, Seager blasted two home runs in a game, and his second was the longest in his career. Although the Dodgers had other scoring opportunities, they could not capitalize upon them.
Julio Urìas struggled in route to his nineteenth win, and the Dodger bullpen performed excellently even though the Diamondbacks kept on trying to score.
