Saturday in the desert, on a night when the slumping Cody Bellinger was given the day off, the Los Angeles Dodgers’ exploded against the Arizona Diamondbacks 11-to-2.

Julio Urias gave the Dodgers exactly what they needed. Since the Dodger bullpen has been overworked, the Dodgers needed a starter to go deep into the game. Urias pitched for six innings, the second-longest outing by a Dodger starter. Urias used his 95-miles-per-hour fastball and curveball brilliantly. Despite allowing two runs, Urias pitched well.

The Dodger bullpen of Brusdar Graterol, Dennis Santana, and Jake McGee mowed the Diamondbacks down.

The Dodgers used seven extra-base hits. Almost everyone in the lineup contributed. Edwin Rìos, Matt Beaty, Chris Taylor, and A.J. Pollock homered. Beaty must have opportunities to play, so he can contribute to the Dodger offense. Rìos has the rawest power of any Dodger.
